One member of the Detective Bureau is assigned to a multijurisdictional task force called the Kent Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (KANET). In addition
to the Walker Police Department assigned detective, KANET is composed of detectives from the Wyoming Department of Public Safety, the Grandville Police Department, and the Kent County Sheriff's Office. KANET focuses on investigating vice-related crimes such as gambling, prostitution, drugs, and alcohol violations. Investigations can stem from road patrol incidents, informants, citizen complaints, or Silent Observer tips.
