Group Exercise Descriptions
PowerFlex This is an awesome total body workout
using a variable weight barbell. Every major muscle in the body will be
worked. Abdominals and flexibility are included in this powerful class.
Butts & Gutts Tone those butts and guts with various
exercises specifically designed to target these common trouble spots.
Core Training This half hour class will help you
firm and tone your abdominals. This class will use the stability ball,
bosu and other techniques to strengthen all muscles involved with
balance and core training.
Total Body Workout Exercises will be performed to
help increase strength, tone up, improve metabolism and flexibility. A
variety of training equipment and exercises will be used to mix up the
workouts. Instructors pay close attention to correct form and technique.
All Fitness levels are welcome.
SilverSneakers I-Muscular Strength & Range of Movement®
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed
to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily
living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a
ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or
standing support.
SilverSneakers II- Cardio Circuit® Combine fun with
fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power
with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held
weights, elastic tubing, and a ball are all included in this class. This
class also focuses on stretching and relaxation exercises.
ZUMBA is the fitness craze that is sweeping the
nation and has become a favorite group exercise class throughout the
world! ZUMBA uses a mix of Latin and international music to create a
dynamic, fun and effective cardio workout. The class is designed to
utilize an interval training format, combining various rhythms with
movements that tone and sculpt the body.
SPINNING Jump on a bike for the ride of your life!
SPINNING utilizes stationary bikes, motivational coaching and terrific
music to provide you with a great cardiovascular workout.
Pre-registration is recommended for this class.
TRX/TRX Circuit is a suspension training class that
uses body weight and gravity to develop strength and balance. This 45
minute class will be sure to make you sweat as you perform various
functional exercises. All fitness levels are welcome.
Turbo Kick is a combination of intense kickboxing
moves as well as dance moves all choreographed into high energy and
motivating music. It’s the ultimate cardiovascular challenge that’s a
unique blend of intense intervals, strength/endurance training and a
relaxing cool-down. Turbo Kick is a great workout for all fitness
levels.
Low Impact class is a traditional low impact cardio
workout designed for all fitness levels. This class incorporates core
training to help you improve abdominal and lower back strength which
lead to better posture and health.
Yoga class will incorporate Yoga positions in an
easy flowing class design. Improve your balance and flexibility, get
stronger and relieve stress. This class is designed for any fitness
level.
PiYo is a unique class designed to build strength &
gain flexibility. The moves fit perfectly together to form a class
filled with intense choreography that’s fun, challenging and will make
you sweat. It’s about energy, power, and rhythm. Think sculpted
abdominals, increased overall core strength, and greater stability.
Cardio Kick is a non-contact workout that includes
both cardio and strength training routines in an energizing environment.
It incorporates kicks, jabs, hooks and uppercuts to improve overall
agility and power.
Boot Camp Our Boot Camp classes will incorporate
Cardio, strength, sports drills and core work all designed to enhance
endurance, speed and strength. Our instructors will change up the
classes to keep them new and exciting!
